Get out the vote (GOTV) efforts are critically important to the disability community. There are over 650,000 people with disabilities of voting age in Georgia; if family members are added to that number, they constitute a potentially formidable electorate. However, the voices of disability advocates seem to go unnoticed when state budget and policy issues that are meant to support people with disabilities are consistently put on the back burner or not discussed at all.
